How Scout works

From a public referenceto evidence you can inspect.

Scout separates discovery from investigation. It identifies the project, establishes a supported public source, then applies the methodology only when that source is confirmed.

01Discovery

Paste a project or agent

Start with a public website, GitHub repository, Technocore link, raw did:key, or ENS name.

02Source

Scout establishes the source

Scout follows the strongest public evidence it can establish and determines whether the project reaches a supported public GitHub source.

03Investigation

Inspect the evidence

When the supported source is established, Scout applies its versioned methodology and produces evidence-backed findings you can inspect.

No supported source?

Scout stays in discovery mode and does not manufacture methodology or security findings.

METHODOLOGY 1.0

What Scout checks

Once Scout establishes the supported public code behind a tool, it applies five checks.

  1. 01What does this tool actually do?
  2. 02How does it handle sensitive information like keys or passwords?
  3. 03Where does it connect?
  4. 04Does it match the official Technocore reference?
  5. 05What should I know before I use it?

If Scout can't establish something, it says so.

EVIDENCE BEFORE TRUST

See what Scout saw.Verify it yourself.

Scout keeps evidence and limitations beside the finding so you can inspect how it got there.

01Evidence

Source stays attached

The finding stays connected to the public source and observations that support it.

02Interpretation

Observation ≠ claim

Scout separates what it directly observes from what the evidence allows it to conclude.

03Limits

Limitations stay visible

If something cannot be established from the available evidence, Scout keeps that uncertainty visible.
